Who we are
Cog Creative is a design and branding agency based at The Business Centre, Cardiff House, Cardiff Road, Barry, Vale of Glamorgan CF63 2AW. For anything to do with your personal details, email hello@cogcreative.co.uk.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry through this website we receive your name, email address, telephone number and whatever you write in your message.
Like most websites, our server also records technical details such as your IP address and browser type.
Why we collect it
We use your details to reply to your enquiry and, if you become a client, to carry out the work. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, and the steps needed before entering into a contract with you.
We do not sell your details, and we do not add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to.
Who else handles it
- The data centre provider behind our hosting, which stores the site and its enquiry emails. We manage the hosting ourselves.
- Akismet, a spam filtering service from Automattic, which checks form submissions for spam.
Cookies and outside services
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, and some pages may show video hosted by YouTube. Those services may see your IP address when a page loads.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to deal with your request, and client records for as long as the law requires for accounts and tax.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal details we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete them, or object to how we use them. Email us and we will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your details you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
